And that unsafe knife-sharing with Frank a few episodes ago? Dean needs a primer on preventing hepatitis, unwanted pregnancies and STDs including AIDS/HIV.
The show missed an opportunity to show Sam lecturing Dean about all that. It would have been a CW public service announcement moment.
On the other hand, the show has not really been a stellar example of anything ever, what with the total lack of CPR for drowning victims and others, the alcoholism / DUI, and Sam and Dean's entire relationship.
Not that that's an excuse.
Also, how problematic is the whole Dean-fathers-a-girl-child-just-so-she-can-be-killed thing?? This goes a step beyond refrigerators, imo.
The "drama" around whether they have the cajoles to kill their loved ones is greatly diminished when all their loved ones are already dead! (Or mind-wiped in Lisa and Ben's case.) So they have to invent an old girlfriend for Sam and give Dean and instant daughter. Bad storytelling! Also, yeah, why do they have to be women?
Btw, Sam has now killed a woman he loved (Madison) and his niece (Emma) and he tried to kill Bobby twice and on a third occasion told Bobby to his face he wouldn't hesitate to kill him. So I think we know which Winchester wins this completely writer- and not character-driven pissing contest, and winning at this is really losing, so the show should just stop it.
