If it's anything like Bobby's episode, it would be fun. I notice I haven't heard anything in some time about the supposed SPN prequel idea. I'm guessing the ratings just don't justify a venture into a spinoff. Although you never know -- SyFy is apparently gearing up a new BSG spinoff despite the failure of Caprica.
Caprica was a big fail? (I didn't follow it, so I have no idea.) Perhaps someone thinks that a sequel bearing the BSG name would do better. Also, would foreign sales or DVD sales encourage them?
Much as I'd love to see Supernatural RED, I doubt CW would go for it, on the fundamental basis that it would appeal to a demographic that's much older than their target age range.
Caprica has been putting out awful numbers and although I haven't heard an official cancellation notice, it seems that people involved have moved on. The new sequel announced is going to jump forward in time and be more militaristic, so they're probably hoping to get more of the fanboys onboard.
That's a good question about foreign sales -- I'm not sure how well BSG has done in that respect.
