I still think of Thursdays as Supernatural night. It's not on tonight, but you can read about an episode that originally aired several Thursdays ago.

Tarts loved Death to death in SPN 5.21, "Two Minutes to Midnight":

I don't think what Death said meant that God wasn't any older than the Pagan Gods - he specifically said that either him or God was the first, and that it was a chicken or the egg deal.

Everything we saw this past season right up through the end really leans towards the idea that the Judeo Christian version o f things is correct, at least in that God created the universe and has authority.

Sorry, late reply is late!

I think you have a point there with the beginning of things. I was fascinated with Death being there to reap God. I thought that was a clear indication that God is not the Final Authority (I'm capitalizing Everything now), although I think it also neatly avoids having to answer what might be, if anything. So while God may have created the Pagan Gods, some other force might have been involved in that as well. I actually like the way they kept it open, while also staying true to the show's mandate that stories that we tell to explain the inexplicable are all true.
